We’re sure your mum’s a sophisticated lady…so why not take her to the orchestra? Nothing says class like live classical music in the ever beautiful Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. This Mothering Sunday, the Phil’s Youth Ensemble will be performing, who provide music-making opportunities for more than 200 children and young people aged 7 – 23 from across Liverpool. It could get emotional!

£9 for your Mum, £5 for you.

And if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, check out Hidden Figures & Symphonie Fantastique, you can get two tickets per event.

Everyman & Playhouse

Coming to the Everyman & Playhouse this Friday is The Conquest of the South Pole. This short and sweet piece of theatre unfolds the story of a group of friends and hopeless dreamers who’ve left their bleak world behind, to conquer the South Pole. The play is ‘a wildly anarchic journey into the imagination’… hopeful and inspiring, it’s sure to leave your mum with all the good feels!

And if you’re feeling flush, why not treat her to dinner in the Everyman bistro beforehand and get 10% off the bill?

£5 tickets for students, call the box office on 0151 709 4776 to book.

TATE Liverpool

Is your mum a modern woman? What better way to spend a spring day than on the Albert Dock, taking in the smell of the Mersey (and avoiding the seagulls for your life) with a trip to the TATE. Currently on display is Tracey Emin’s notorious ‘My Bed,’ shown alongside William Blake’s paintings and prints, finding surprising links between the two artists.

Free exhibition!

Yoga @ Lifestyles

Does your Mum deserve some relaxation time? Why not take her for a Yoga session this Saturday at Millennium lifestyles. The 1 hour session is aimed at balancing your mind and improving posture, flexibility and strength. Free for students and only £4 for your Mum…that’s cheaper than a chippy tea.

Starts at 1, must book.
